Mumbai: Lata Shukla, who plays the role of Aprajita’s Bua in Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s Oh Humnava—Tum Dena Saath Mera, which is produced under their banner Studio LSD, connected with her character in the show. She said, “What really drew me in is how emotionally rooted my character is. She is deeply connected to her family, and that purity of emotion made me relate to her instantly.”
“This character is very close to my heart, it actually feels like home. The emotional depth and family bonding make it very special for me. The script is too good! Tum Dena Saath Mera has such emotional depth and strong family connection that it instantly touched my heart,” she added.
Her preparation for the role was more emotional than physical. She said, “I focused on understanding her feelings and living those emotions naturally rather than just portraying them. In the beginning, I felt a slight disconnect with a few aspects of the character, which was a bit disappointing. But as I started performing, I began to understand her better—and now I truly enjoy playing her.”
And she created a backstory too. “I always create a backstory in my mind. It helps me stay emotionally consistent and connected throughout the journey. I believe in being honest as an actor. The relationships in the show are very real, so I just stay in the moment and feel every emotion genuinely,” she said.

She is having an amazing time shooting with the production house and cast. She said, “It has been an amazing experience. The atmosphere on set is very warm and friendly. All the technicians, artists, and the entire team are wonderful. I’ve also worked with this production earlier on Manmohini (Zee TV), and since then I have always wished to collaborate with them again. Prateek Sharma ji and Parth Shah are extremely genuine and honest people.”
“When I got this opportunity, I didn’t want to miss it. The environment at Studio LSD is so positive and creative that it truly feels like a family. I feel completely at home while playing my character. And honestly, if I get to work with such a team and such roles for a lifetime, I would always be ready,” Lata ended.
